Eat real food. Move daily. Live well.
About Me
I earned a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science at Oregon State University and was lucky to compete on the rowing team for four years during my time at OSU. I had always been active and ate what I thought was “healthy” food, but while competing at a Division I level, for the first time, I had a deep appreciation for optimal nutrition driving my athletic performance. I could see how the things I put in my body were either giving me energy or compromising my performance and recovery. After college I wanted to find a way to integrate my love of whole foods nutrition and fitness, and spread the word that holistic health is NOT about dieting, supplements, and weight loss, it is about honoring your unique set of genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors to achieve optimal health. I went on to earn my certification in Integrative Health Coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, as well as a Nutrition Coaching certification through Precision Nutrition, and a CrossFit L1 certification. I have a specific interest and personal experience in guiding clients through food intolerance using elimination diets, Paleo and Primal nutrition theories, and getting to the root cause of chronic disease symptoms through diet and lifestyle modifications.
My approach
I create a supportive environment that enables you to articulate and achieve your goals. I apply a concept called bioindividuality, which means that every BODY is uniquely different and what is healthy for one person may not be for another. I believe that food is so much more than just fuel; it is medicine. With this philosophy, I aim to change the lives of my clients by reducing risk factors for disease, and helping them achieve strength and vitality so they can LIVE WELL.

What is Health Coaching?
How are Health Coaches different from Registered Dietitians or Nutritionists? Health Coaches use a process called motivational interviewing to find the “why” behind a desired health change. While Registered Dietitians are very knowledgeable about nutrition science, Health Coaches utilize nutrition knowledge, lifestyle modifications, habit change strategies, provide support and accountability, and can be an advocate for clients navigating a healthcare system that is not focused on root causes, but band-aid solutions. A health coach puts the client in the driver seat of their own health concerns, and empowers them to make lasting lifestyle changes through a balanced holistic approach.
